Hi michael;

Rocket stoves are good for being able to burn
long sticks without having to cut them.    If you
want high efficiency for space heating look into
gasification.  There is an excellent gasifying 
multi-fuel biomass stove (burns basically
anything) that is made in Ontario. 

It is called Sedore.
