[Greenbuilding] underslab insulation

Hi Joseph,
I'm wondering how vermiculite would work. (Not the stuff from Libby,
Montana) It's got great thermal properties, dries out well, and well
is a mineral, so could theoretically handle being back in the ground.
I don't know about compressive strength, under a slab however, as it's
typically brittle. Thoughts out there?
Has anyone used vermiculite insulation recently? It's easy to use
that's for sure.
