[Greenbuilding] Off Topic: What car do you suggest?

Would like to add my .02 cents here. I agree 100% with Ben.
I drive old Toyota Tercel Station Wagons, mid 80's vintage. I like to keep
two so if one is needing a repair I still have one to drive. I get a
consistent 33-38 miles to the gallon, checked regularly, but I drive the car
like the old lady it is. Very carefully and puttz along, not normally
barrelling down the highway, though I can go a consistent 80 if I feel the
need. My biggest issue is finding them in decent shape here in the Michigan
rust producing state. However, I just bought one from California and the
guy was planning to drive it to the east coast anyway, so is dropping it off
on the way and taking the bus the remainder. Just passed California
emissions. I have never had one that didn't start EVER, they are roomy, and
fairly comfortable. I repair furniture for a living and rarely find
something I can't fit in the tercel. Insurance with State Farm is under
25.00 per month.
I hope to drive these cars until I die. Keeping them out of the junkyard is
addictive and a fun challenge.
I keep telling my family to nominate my cars for the Tv show "Overhaulin"
and they could re-do them into hybrids or EV's for me.
But nobody ever nominates me. :o(
