Here in Toronto not so long ago there was the case of
the pedal car. It was in fact a delightful creation by
some Queen West artists that had eviscerated a Buick
to the point that only the outer shell remained, the
windshield was intact, the wheels were removed. Inside
the shell across where the seats would have been were
two rows of bikes the front row presumably had moving
front wheels to steer the beast.
Well anyway this fantastic "car" was used on the main
streets of Toronto and took up as much space as a
"real" car of course but in the slow shuffle of
downtown traffic did not delay "real" cars by much I
suspect. I never saw it but really wish I had.
This art "mobile" did of course land the drivers
er
riders in court for something or other where after
some deliberation they were aquitted of what ever it
was they had done.
To be a bike rider in Toronto is HELL. NOT fun at all.
