[Greenbuilding] Work shop floor

Hello, all.

I'm getting to bringing the floor of my work shop up to final
grade. Guess I should figure out how I'm going to do it.

I don't want to use concrete. I could use driveway hardpack,
but I'm concerned that the fines would make it dusty. I could use
3/4-inch crushed gravel, but it's more expensive. If I'm going to go
the expensive route, then I might as well bed blocks down in sand.

Anyone have any other ideas? It would be nice if I could hose
it down some without damaging it too much, and if I could sweep it.
Perhaps block is best after all, but I'm open to suggestions.
