[Greenbuilding] Cabinet question

Hi to everyone,

I've been involved in a question with another cabinet mfg. We're having
some difficulty with the following:

This question deals with LEED Credit 4.4 Low Emitting Composite and
Agrifiber Materials

Most cabinets/cabinet lines can be produced using all NAF
Composite materials such as plywood and particle board. I think I can get
NAF MDF as well but that is still to be determined. My question is this.we
have a contemporary line that uses reconstituted veneers. These veneers
have E1 levels of formaldehyde in them, less than .1ppm. There is no way
around it, that is how they make them. If a dealer buys this line of
cabinetry and they are sourcing cabinets for a LEED project, can we still
help some for Credit 4.4 if we use a cabinet case that meets the Low
Emitting Composite material criteria. The follow up question is more
important.if we don't qualify for any help, does using this reconstituted
veneer mean they cannot claim ANY 4.4 credit on the whole job.sort of an all
or nothing scenario.

Would anyone care to comment or share an opinion? We'd really appreciate
the input.
