I have recently stumble upon the TEDTalks series of presentations thanks 
to a friend.  One in particular that he pointed me to was given by Bill 
Gross.  The talk is from 2003, and I haven't done any follow-up research 
on him or his creation, but it looks like a cool item.

The whole TEDTalks series is very cool in itself.  Most of it doesn't 
have to do with energy efficiency or building, though.  The main website 
is at www.ted.com, but you can find most of the videos posted on YouTube 
(and they seemed to play better from there - I had some trouble with the 
TED website).
