After Lawrence's comments, I decided asked ultimateair about their product:

1) what's the heat wheel made of?
2) do you have performance data for the unit?

Answers to your questions:



1.        Our wheel is a stitched process made of two different polymers..
We use one, two, or three of: nylon, polyester, and/or visil.  Different
blends and diameters of fiber.

2.       Performance is attached, and can be compared to others at the link
below (third party testing):
