[Greenbuilding] Composting cat shit

"Bacterial nastiness all over your veggies" can easily be avoided by  
putting the compost system into a two year cycle. Let it do its  
thing, slowly, over time, with our without the "hot" or thermophilic  
process, and it will break down to a rich humus. And if in doubt,  
don't put it into your garden, put the compost onto trees or  
landscaping.

Probably the best thing you can do is read "The Humanure Handbook"  
because it will address all.
