Folks,
As an example, the last list from the group amounted to some 17 pages of text. If one excises all the repeated previous message,  and leaves the short messages which has been placed on the top, then the list drops to only 5 pages.

There must be list members encumbered by slow internet links that we should help by reducing "waste bytes" in messages - it also massively helps when making sense of the archives if messages are edited well.
