Light weight Charcoal finally sold by volume !!

I was so surprised driving through France and discovering for the first 
time ever, charcoal sold by weight at a LIDL supermarket!

In 1990 in Burundi / East Africa we carbonized light pine wood (conifer) 
and we had the problem that this light charcoal had to compete by 
charcoal sold by weight in the market.
The pine wood came from one of the new forest projects. The 
traditionally sold charcoal made from hard wood had a more heavy 
specific weight.

I proposed to sell our light weight charcoal by volume, but this was not 
taken up by the forest department.
