[Stoves] partial fan compensation by static-mixers?

Martin,

Thank you for the message.

I was hoping for some more simple static mixers.  Your twisted one is hard to
make, and others you mention are expensive and complicated.

Instead, for a flow of hot, flaming gases and air that is about 10 cm or 15 cm
in diameter and at least 25 cm tall, what are the simple options?  Issues
include:  Shape,  Size,  Material,  Position

I am not worried about the static mixer stealing the heat.  It will 
quickly get
up to a high temperature.  and I hope it will assist as a flame retainer.
