Dear Jeff Davis
I don't know if anyone else has tried this but we accidentally found out  
last year that our split firewood found laying in a natural slurry of chicken  
manure and water from a very heavy rain, once re-dried out gave us a tremendous  
boost in heat energy given off per wood piece. This was old cottonwood, and  
usually burns like dry paper-hot and fast. This particular wood seemed to burn 
 longer and even hotter. We have a cord(give or take) sitting in the exact 
same  chicken manure slurry right now and more waiting. We will try to keep 
records of  the difference between it and the regular dry wood. Just a thought, 
but this  might be yet another way to use all that dung!   Bob.
