I don't know where to find this but I suspect it is just a damp meter,
the trouble with these is they depend on the resistance between two
probes and this can be affected by other things, like salt
contamination, it also assumes a homogenous sample, so something with
a wet surface will give a different reading to something with a went
middle and dry interior. That's why I prefer to oven dry a sample, if
in a hurry I use a microwave on a defrost cycle, but you do need to
monitor mass change and temperature, otherwise your sample starts to
pyrolyse.
