[Stoves] Escher GuneWardena - LivingKit Exhibition

Dear Friends

There is an exhibition which has been on since August in the Zollverein, Essen, Germany.  In it there is an interesting stove that looks a great deal like the STOvs Concrete Cooker, but without the Rocket combustion element and preheated air.

Can anyone locate a picture of this device for a closer look?  I can only get a small brochure pic.  This exhibition is supposed to be on line somewhere.  It is travelling to California in a few days.

Re: Open House Exhibition and I.D.Magazine.

Dear Friends,

We are writing to update you about LivingKit and inform you of current activity on the project. 

Exhibition 

The Open House, part of the larger exhibition ENTRY 2006-Perspectives and Visions in Design, closed earlier this month after a three month duration (August 26 - December 3, 2006) at its first venue, the Zollverein in Essen, Germany.  From the thousands of people that would have seen the exhibition, we hope that more attention was brought to your products and solutions.  The exhibition will next travel to Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California (just outside of Los Angeles) and open at this second venue on March 10, 2007.

I.D. Magazine

In the meantime we have also submitted the LivingKit project for consideration in a design awards review organized by International Design Magazine.  Your projects will appear on random pages of our submission as we demonstrate how users would access information about your product.  Credit to the individual inventors or organizations has been submitted to the magazine with the photos.  If the project wins an award next year I.D. Magazine will want to publish the project with photos.  We would therefore like to request in advance permission to have your product published along with the LivingKit.  If you have any objections to this please respond by December 23, 2006 and we will omit your product photos from the final publication.  I.D. magazine has international circulation and far reaching readership, yet another way of propagating news about your products.  

Grants and Sponsorship

At the beginning of next year we will begin to approach various organizations for funding to develop the interactive website demonstrating LivingKit's operation.  This will also enable us to present the project to non-governmental organizations that may want to sponsor LivingKit on a permanent basis.  

Please contact us if there are further developments on your existing products/solutions or if you have any new inventions that you would like to show through LivingKit.
