The design I saw at an exhibition at Kew recently seemed to have a
power piston and diaphragm and this pivoting displacer. I expect Ken
Boak would know as he organised the event but he hasn't responded to a
recent e-mail so may be away.
The thing is low temperature stirlings are very large for their
output, when they are just distributing warm air this may not be a
problem but their low output coupled with relatively poor efficiency
would make the parasitic losses for a cook stove too high.
They are finding a niche in small domestic chp where their near zero
maintenance and expected long life and quietness means they can be
embedded in a standard wet central heating system boiler.
