Foot Pump + Balloon + Adjustable Valve + Stove equals clean combustion.

Now we just need a balloon that's cheap enough and easily replaceable.

My garden sprayer can hold about ten minutes of compressed air for
periodic spraying. What should be the target, ten to one?

Over ten minutes cooking time, one minute of total foot-pumps done
periodically ?

Let's see, for ten minutes of cooking time, you'd need to top off
the pressure vessel with six seconds of pumping once per minute?

Once you've got a pan of food sizzling, there's always that down-time
when it just has to be covered and allowed to cook and further
stirring would just waste heat.

Letting the compressed air run down during that time would have the
effect of dropping the heat to a simmer.

My sister is an EMT and gave me some stuff the Ambulance Co. didn't
want anymore.

A couple of O2 regulators, tubing, and a foot-pump. It looks like
half of a rubber ball about six inches across.

I suppose, with the addition of a one way valve and a pressure
vessel, like an old garden sprayer... some inventive cuss could whomp
up a foot-powered air tank.

After all, even just a trickle of air input to a MIDGE would get it
burning red hot...

Hmmm. I may just try this for my charcoal grill.
