Methanol evaporates at  64,7 ° C
Ethanol  evaporates  at  78,3 ° C
If drinkers heats a buket at 70  ° C for a long time ,the methanol goes
into the room ;
If they become more save ; they make an isolated 7’ long colon
1”diameter tube 
for fractionated destilation .    2X destilation.
It even works for des-infecting alcohol, ether / ethanol .
 
To test drinks as methanol free :
It must be reduced to formol with sulfiet .
Tested with Fuchsine .      Blue color .
