Paul,
Thanks for your observations and comments.
I understand your vote to be #10 "Something else" = "All of the above". :-)
48% of the visitors to the website are not subscribed to the list so the
direct comment provides them an opportunity to interact. The most recent
comments are linked on the home page.
List members should comment to the list and link to the story on the web.
Either way we can edit in a link to/from the archives.
After 86 days we're averaging 214 unique visits per day. The highest day was
562. Visitors have logged in from 110 countries in 86 days and from 61
countries in the last seven days. Visitors are from North America (65%),
Europe (13%), Asia (10%), South and Central America (7%), Africa (4%),
Oceania and other (1%). These numbers are skewed by internet access. They
don't reflect the fact that participation from Asia, Africa, Oceania and
Latin America is frequent, regular and growing.

Tom and all Stovers,
Personally, as a person 100% involved with stoves, all 10 of the topics
you list
are of interest to me.
One concern: Now that there can be comments submitted to and posted at the
website according to specific items found there, we run the risk of not
seeing
some excellent comments that could (or should) also be sent to the Stove
listserve. I and others cannot monitor that multitude of locations where
comments could be submitted.
My suggestion is that if someone does see an important comment added to the
website, could he or she please call it to the attention of the
Bioenergylist.org (Stoves) listserve, or ask the poster-person to send it to
the list.
