[Stoves] Steam injected into flame

Dear Steamed-up Friends

I went to visit a paraffin-fired kiln in Dakar which had a steam-injection
system driving the air to mix with the evaporated paraffin. The burner was
quite small. The amount of water involved is quite small and the heating
power huge.

Is there any good reason to have the steam in air-fuel stream or is it
_entirely_ a mechanism for blowing air?

Is there for example an H2O > H2 + O > (??) in the reactions burning the
paraffin?

Thanks
Crispin
