Dear Lanny

You wrote about the smoke:

Pine is a really smokey fuel so don't be too surprised. The smoke cannot
always be burned at the secondary stage. It sounds like to have a decent
fire most of the time. I find that oven-dried wood is not realistic for
testing because to burn it properly, you have to build the stove differently
which is pretty pointless because no one is going to treat their wood like
that before using it. The moisture moderates the burn rate and with a
resinous fuel it makes a big difference smokewise.

My point exactly.

Crispin
