Das is quite expert in metal-ceramic insulation combinations.
Kaowool fibers melt > 1600 C. There are various solutions which bond it
well to metal and could protect the "tincanium".
Part of the problem is that the rocket produces an oxidizing atmosphere,
while in our stove the gas is reducing except where secondary air
injection projects the flame away from the walls.
