Dear Stove Builders
The first clay rings for Andi's stove are drying so I thought I would report what's up.
The wettest one was the charcoal powder and clay which had about 16% moisture. It has lost 350 gm of water so far. According to my calcs it has 112 more to go to be completely dry.
It is still quite strong and handles well. It has not a single crack in it - nothing at all. This is because the material was not rolled, stretched, extruded or coiled. It has a completely homogenous structure. This means it shrinks isotropically (evenly about a single central point).
When it has stopped losing weight I will fire it.
Regards
Crispin
