Greetings Thomas Reed and the stove list.
Thank you for the emails and encouragements.

There were inaccuracies in the first posting to the stove site.

I wondered if the CO had narrow flammability limits, we did discuss
making a whole set of cages to find out where the "zone" was but with
the other conditions so out of control it did not seem worth it.
We were only trying to see what was going on in Lanny Hensons device a
little better.
We do not have access to the equipment required to really test these
properly for a stove application. We dont even have basic tools like
high temperature thermometers.
Can you say with confidence that a blue flame is evidence of CO burn?

We are going to try to replicate Lanny Hensons first wire burn with this
[old] charcoal. We have "acquired" several bucket handles thinking the
diameter and type of metal would affect the temperature subtly.
We also ordered a fresh bag of charcoal to try a set of tests again.

The cone shape begs to be explored. Do you know if anyone has published
work on them?

Thanks again.

J.R.
