I have one of the gasifiers set up and ready to go. So far I have only
tested wood chips from roadside residue. They had 37% moisture, and the
results were smoke... excellent for smoking fish and keeping Black Flies
away, but useless as a fuel gas. I have not yet had a chance to dry the
chips to the recommended maximum of 20%. I haven't tried it on straw, in
that straw is not a readily available resource here.

We don't have a source of Switchgrass pellets here in Nova Scotia, as far
as I know. If someone could send me a bag of such pellets, I'd be pleased to
run a test. Perhaps Roger might know of a nearer Canadian source?

Best wishes,

Kevin
