Lanny,
Your coffie-can-chimney is an intelligent simple and stable low-tech
solution.
I would like to have such simple general construction technics for all
interested, to be simply available in a collection/dictionary to stimulate
fantasy for realizing construction-ideas.
I normally dont have such coffie-cans but I have another simple solution to
connect fruit-cans to make a chimney.
Make 4 right-angled cut-ins in the tin-tube, about 1 inch deep.
- In equal distances (or in pairs equal distant)
Put the next can without bottom onto the prepared first can.
Make that a pair of opposite "flaps" is in- and the other pair is outside of
the second can-tube. Put the cans together up to the end of the cut-ins.
So you can continue. The cans are not so fast connected, but for testing it
fits.
-Think of, that the lids can be cut off in a different way by can-openers,
and that could affect better or worse fitting.
Mostly modern cans have stabilizing-"waves" round the tube, they help to
snap in.
By the way: The stoves on your website: Fine work, good ideas!
Greetings from Germany
Martin
