I came across an article in my files describing the chaos when the 
German Army marched in toDenmark in 1940 and commandeered all liquid 
fuels.  Many women and children starved to death before wood gasifiers 
were put into production by a team with Nils Bohr and Harry LaFontaine 
(founder of the Biomass energy foundation).  Read about it at *
