Dear Ken
I am wondering ..... if you are going to make such a large number of stoves
in a relatively small number of locations, it might be worth getting a
manual machine for producing the bricks.
The advantage of a manual press is that the water content of the mix can be
substantially reduced giving a reduced shrinkage before firing, less
fracturing, faster drying and higher overall final strength. Otherwise the
mix is the same - just less water. The pressure involved is about 12 tons
which can easily me produced manually with an over-center clamp mechanism.
The Rocket Ring maker is one such example of a machine of this type,
presently in use in Malawi.
Best regards
Crispin

Dear Tom,
I believe that so far, with Mathew and All Nations Christian Care, we
have made about 15,000 SixBricks Rocket Stoves in the Lira, (north)
Uganda refugee camps . I have 2,700 numbered pictures of these stoves,
