[Stoves] MIDGE Stoves in the UK

Hi stovers,

Just wanted to get some info form you guys about the MIDGE gasifier stove.
Anyone familiar with their construction?
I want to do experiments here in the UK.
However we don't have any cans available in the sizes quoted in "The 
Complete MIDGE" PDF, here in the UK.
Can you give advice on how to measure-up using alternative cans?
