I'm not a stove designer and I mean NO arguments with the below comments! (I'm 
sure I'm wrong)

When I look at a rocket stove I see the moving "grate furnace". I would 
classify it as a moving grate stove. If I had the time I would build one with 
the fuel magazine angled up, not horizontal, so that the glowing char is 
higher hence the stepped grate.

Just some things that I have learned from the heathut (my new way of 
stoking)....
