Interesting point!! However, while ammonia might be liberated under some 
conditions of protein degradation, does it ammonia formation really occur 
when protein is gasified?

Did anyone who burned a roast ever notice if the smoke had a smell of 
ammonia? Even if ammonia was formed, would it perhaps give up its heat of 
formation when it was burned?
