[Stoves] Calculating firewood volume to weight, daily firewood use

I have been trying to figure out a person's average daily firewood needs when they *don't* have efficient stoves mostly for cooking type uses and where firewood is pretty much all that is used.  Some of the statistics I've found are in volume measurements.  If you have normal type dry firewood--generally hardwood, how much does 1m3 (and is that one cubic meter as I assume) of wood weigh?

And if you have data for daily firewood use per person pre-efficient stove use and/or post efficient stove use, I'd appreciate any info that you have.  I'm looking for info where firewood is the main fuel used.  Though if you know how much firewood is converted to charcoal that would be useful too.
