If you look at the voting
United States 54% (27)
Germany 10% (5)
Canada 10% (5)
Bolivia 6% (5 - one duplicate vote)
India 6% (3)
United Kingdom 4% (2)
Colombia 2% (1)
Netherlands 2% (1)
Australia 2% (1)
Thailand 2% (1)
Indonesia 2% (1)
It looks like we had only 10 votes from countries where the cooking
stoves we discuss are commonly used. Yet another reminder that, for
improvements to disseminate, we need to communicate with groups that
do not have access to good communication means.
Again I feel that concise messages on this list are one means of
keeping marginally connected people on board.
If we disallowed the votes from the participants that don't routinely
have their food cooked by stoves or cooking fires then is the result
changed?
I'm not knocking discussion between wealthier, dilettante, I've
enjoyed participating. All learning helps, it's just that access to
information to allow peer to peer dissemination looks more likely to
succeed than a bunch of rich westerners sending bloated messages
between themselves and in so doing preventing access to any pearls of
wisdom by putting off participants that are challenged with slow
access.
