I once did the sums for a "Bullfinch" mantle lamp running on bottled
propane and was surprised to see its lumen output per kWhr(t) of gas
put in was less than the same gas running a generator powering an
incandescent bulb. It would probably be worth another look to see if
my calculations were right.
