Dear IAN
I enclose you my 16 page project report from Kenya

I just thinking "what to do" with the carbonized coconut shells?
1) The hard shell can be used as lump charcoal as it is, I think?
I remember that in Indonesia I saw the street dealer roasting
sate-chicken on coconut charcoal fire, was quite popular.
Is there a demand for charcoal in Fiji, or is there a place to export
this coconut shell charcoal?

2) However the outer fluffy soft shell of the coconut might break into
charcoal dust and not be used as it is?
Either you leave it as a left over, or you make briquettes out of it
(which needs investment).
best
Chris
