or,

The Bulletin provides information on the activities of the Partnership for
Clean Indoor Air (PCIA) and its Partners around the world, and is intended
to increase awareness and action on indoor air pollution, household energy
and health. Regular features will include spotlights on PCIA partners,
feature articles based on a thematic focus, and recent achievements and
advances in household energy, indoor air pollution, and health.

The 11th issue focuses on Household Energy and Humanitarian Assistance,
particularly the work of NGOs and international agencies and their
commitments to bring cleaner fuels and technologies to refugees, internally
displaced persons (IDPs), and other populations in need of humanitarian
assistance. This issue contains a collection of feature articles on: UNHCR's
experience addressing the problems associated with household energy
provision in refugee settings; Solar cooking in Kakuma Refugee Camp in
Kenya; and; Gaia Association?s Clean Energy-Safe Energy Programe with
ethanol stoves. In addition, we highlight the Women?s Commission for Refugee
Women and Children's experience with developing a coordinated strategy on
fuel in humanitarian settings.

As always, the bulletin contains information on upcoming events and new
resources in household energy, indoor air pollution and health.

We hope the PCIA Bulletin will be an important source of information for
PCIA partners and others working to improve the lives of millions of women
and children worldwide. We encourage you to submit updates on your work,
announcements of new resources of interest to this community, and feedback
on what information would be most useful and interesting for you to receive
through the Bulletin.

The last submission date for Issue 12 is May 15, 2007. For detailed
