As I said there must be many ways of preparing agriwastes and if
adding char to them makes them better that's good. Don't discount char
from other sources just because you are aware that charcoaling wood
produces a lot of fines, other biomass will make char but I think a
reasonable lignin content is necessary or the char yield goes down. I
don't know how this coconut husk would char but I am fairly confident
that charring would reduce it to powder easily, which could make
transporting it to your more local briquetting franchise worthwhile.
