[Stoves] injecting water vapor into the fire

Dear Hugh

Well done!

I knew some people knew how to do these things and where to stop!

I attach a small spreadsheet that shows the steam losses and heat recovered
(on the right) for 2 and 4 bars with (I think) all the corrections made for
the change of 'constants' under pressure (ha ha!).

I follow the idea that injecting H2O is different from injecting air but I
can't see that difference unless they are set side by side. I guess what is
most needed is to answer the question, 'What can I measure?' For any given
stable fire, what results can I expect to see as I slowly increase the
injection of steam into it?

One thing I can measure is a change in exit temperature and another is a
change in the CO/CO2 ratio. Excess air levels might change.

Regards
Crispin
