Henson Modular Cooking System: Pan- Dead Fall

The first pan module needed improvement.
The heat from the burner seemed to be diffusing and bypassing the pan. Enough heat was being generated by the burner but the pan module lacked focus.
Suggestions to fix pan module?

>Kevin Chisolm said: I am guessing that your vent holes in the pan module are too low,
causing the gases to exit without "scrubbing the bottom of the pan.>

>Crispin said: I did some work on a radial set of fins using a paraffin stove more than a
year ago and, under certain conditions, got about a 60% increase in heat
transfer efficiency.....Think rather about path length, residence time, temperature difference and
reflection/radiation.>

Lanny- I moved the slots up and added fins to the inside. I also added a short extension to the chimney and it seems to work much better. I was able to fry potatoes and cook burgers but I had to add fuel to finish cooking. 10 to 15 grams of wood at time seems to work with the bottom air vent open, using the Side Supply Burner, but more at one time caused smoke.

I have been cooking dinner with the stove and
I am pleased with the performance, flexibility and the ease of use.

I will do a web page soon, sized so that everyone can view. Video is too large for most, right?
Tom what size video clip is best for the stove website?

Thanks, Kevin, Crispin, and Jeff Davis for donating rice husk. This is the second time Jeff has contributed. He also sent "fire balls".
