Thanks for the feedback. I still wonder, especially after reading Dean
Still's recent post, if there would be some advantage for using some
sort of radiant burner under the pot. Shouldn't the stove and pot be
designed to take full advantage of every form of energy transfer?
The patent mentions temperatures of 900C. I do not know if similar
performance could be expected after adapting the design for a TLUD or
other gasifier (or if such an adaptation is even feasible). Regardless
of any cooking improvement, if the adaptation can be made, it might make
a very nice space heater.
