Reynst, of pulsing jam jar fame, felt that pulse combustion, while
usually avoided for boilers because if its destructive tendencies, was
very efficient at transferring heat to the walls of the boiler chamber.

I suppose one could design a pulsing in-line boiler, or even a pulsing
cooking pot skirt.  I wonder what kind of noise a neighborhood of
pulsing stoves would make?
