Dear colleagues,
Greetings from the Climate Conference in Bali.
There is a draft decision on CDM methodologies, geared to approve I.E.
(replacing non renewable biomass by renewable energy) and to reject II.G.
(efficiency in non-renewable).
It seems the only strong position against it was Brazil. This is the main
-if not only- obstacle to II.G.
There is a handful of us in Bali (Philip Mann, Bernhard Schlamadinger,
Jonathan Avis...), i.e. an opportunity to lobby the Brazilians, either
directly or through delegates from other countries.
If you have contacts in the official delegation of your country, please
- give us the details of the person
- and send them an introduction email (CC to us).
All the best,
Minh
