Dear John,
Welcome back!!!!!!!! We are glad that things are working out well for you.
There are several of us who are highly interested in working with you. And
because this is a "stove-sized" gasifier, we can keep the discussion here on
the Stoves Listserv.
Your message has many fundamentals in it that should be saved as documentation
about small-scale coal gasification.
The comment about how natural draft avoids CO leakage into the home is a major
reason why any work we do with forced air must be extremely careful about
out-flow of gases/emissions, even if done outside the home.
When you have time, please comment on:
Is the prototype unit still the same one that I saw at your home?
Does it still work, or have you had to rebuild it occassionally?
Are you living in your same house (if so, I can visualize you and your work).
How long was the longest of your operation times? please break it down
into the
pyrolysis stage and the coke-gasifying stage. And how tall and what diameter
was your fuel load for that operation (to tell us duration per centimeter of
fuel)?
Paul
