I can't see what this accomplishes. I think it merely complicates things. 
Why is it important to the consumer to know how much energy was required to 
dry, transport, and store the fuel?

Why should the information be attached to the stove, when the big variable 
is the fuel? If there was a benefit to the Consumer knowing such 
information, it would make more sense for the Wood Supplier to supply such a 
certificate with each load of fuel.

That makes great sense!! That would show the Consumer the benefit resulting 
from using dry wood.
