Dear Stovers,
The first meeting of the ETHOS Technical Committee on Testing Standards
and Methods will be held in the conference room of the Baymont Inn,
Kirkland, Washington (ETHOS conference hotel) on Friday, January 26,
from 3:00-5:30 p.m.
Please come prepared to discuss the following issues:
- What topics should fall within the guidelines of the ETHOS TC? What
will it cover and not cover?
- Should multiple committees handle different aspects of testing, or is
a single committee sufficient?
- What composition and size should be sought for the committee?
- How can we most effectively involve a wide geographic range of people,
since travel budgets are constrained?
- Guidelines for development and voting on standards (ASHRAE TC rules
will be presented, and we will discuss whether they are appropriate)
Please prepare a list of people who should be contacted about this
committee. Membership and leadership will not be formalized until we
have started 'closing the loop'-- we keep asking new contacts for new
names and we don't run into any that are not on our compiled list. This
means that the committee will not be formed during the meeting
- If you will not be able to attend, but are interested in
participating, please send me a note.
- If you will not be able to attend, and have comments on any of the
questions above, please send them to me. I will compile them and present
them in the meeting.
See you soon!
Tami
