Dear Crispin and all,

Because of trips, I have only now read the many messages about this
topic (that
is more about kilns issues than charcoal making).

What I did not find is Crispin`s description of what type of gasifier(s) he is
considering to use. Please describe.

I am still in Nicaragua after the conference about biomass stoves and
reforestation this past Thurs and Friday. Today I visited some brickmaking
kilns. Very inefficient. The Listserv discussion has been helpful.

Crispin, what size of kilns are you considering? What I saw today was
5 x 2.5 x
2.8 height meters!!

The charcoal making seen today is also very inefficient (pit style). Massive
challenges here.

Paul
