MARY BARBER <marybarber at btinternet.com> escribió: Thought you might be interested that the main news item on the TV in Madagascar today was the making of "charcoal" from clay mixed with some biomass materials (probably waste from the dump I think). It was shown with them mixing and extruding it like sausages to then dry out.
No burning at all in production.
They said it would decrease the cutting of forests, although where we live it is mainly coppiced Eucalyptus trees that are used to make charcoal, and they regrow very quickly. But other areas have severe problems with deforestation.

Dear Mary,
Thanks much for the info ! - Certainly I am interested in any technology to efficiently utilize Biomass for the production of 'charcoal' - Do you have the specs as to produce such item ? if u do please let me know or where I can have access to this experience etc.

Perhaps i can use MORINGA OLEIFERA which is very fast growing tree...instead of Eucapiltus? I work with Moringa and Stevia. What do u do Mary ?
