The following is an invitation from Grant Ballard-Tremeer to the HEDON
CleanAirSIG (Special Interest Group) e-conference. The e-conference has been
under way for a week and has generated interesting and useful discussion.

Dear CleanAirSIG subscribers

You may have seen the announcement for the CleanAirSIG online
eConference "Taking ACTION to rid the world of Indoor Air Pollution"
via HEDON News a few days ago. We've been setting things up over the
past few days and I'm now excited to be inviting you to sign up to
participate in it. This 2-week online conference is kindly sponsored
by Practical Action[2] and focuses on kitchen smoke alleviation.

To sign up to the eConference:

1. Login to HEDON here: www.hedon.info/goto.php/login.htm

2. Click on 'subscribe' next to the online conference in your
user-centre.

That's it. You'll receive an email confirmation. If this doesn't
arrive check that it wasn't filtered out by your mail filters.

There is no cost to participate although we do ask you to give at
least 45 minutes of your day each day over the 2 weeks (at any time)
to read the papers and emails from other participants, and make your
own contribution. The conference will be 100% online - by email,
supported by the conference website.

* Knowledge sharing and networking
* What are the next steps?

If you would like to make a presentation at the e-conference (in the
form of a short paper of 500-1000 words) on any of the topics above,
please contact Liz Bates[4] on liz.bates at virgin.net with a brief
outline of what you would like to present as soon as possible. We will
confirm whether your paper has been accepted shortly afterwards.

A draft programme will be circulated on shortly via the CleanAirSIG
email list and on the conference website.

NOTE: This is an online, internet based email conference. The
discussions will take place online via email (without any travelling
or meeting face to face).
