Sai Bhaskar seems to refer to flame height, and it will change
depending on the
amount of gases being created (relates to flow of primary air) and the amount
and manner of secondary air entering. I think Crispin refers to flame
position. In forced-air TLUDs with specific entry holes for the
secondary air,
the position of the flames seen at the top of the stove is always the
same, even
as the fuel level drops.
