I think so too. When oils oxidise they form hydroperoxides en route 
to polymerisation, the peroxides are very corrosive, I don't know if 
they might assist water suspension. Oxidation depends on the Iodine 
Value, no use with coconut oil, eg. More information here:

A method using simple mixing would be better, rather than pressure 
jets and so on (with perhaps only temporary effect).
